Kilo Series 1/4" x 1-1/4" Single Flute Downshear

Application: The KD250.1250.2 is an excellent choice for applications that require a robust, 1/4" diameter downshear tool with a 1-1/4" (5xD) length of cut. This tool features a free-cutting, single downshear O flute design with a wide polished flute face, substantial angular relief and special tool geometries. These features effectively remove chips from the work area to reduce overheating and material build up to cleanly machine a variety plastic, composite and non-ferrous materials.  Downshear cutting action creates downward pressure on material, which reduces or eliminates part movement.  The downward flow of chips can cause material to overheat and it is best to use upshear Kilo tools when possible.
